Your choice

Optional features are off until you choose to allow them. “Essential only” leaves both optional settings off; “Allow optional features” enables both. Open “Choose optional features” to select them individually. You can change or withdraw your choices at any time using the privacy controls when JavaScript is enabled.

Reading the portfolio, following links and downloading the CV do not require optional storage or external badge images. There are no advertising or analytics trackers in the site code.

What this site stores

Contact security cookie: essential

__Host-portfolio_csrf in production; portfolio_csrf in development. A first-party cookie requested when you interact with the contact form. It protects against forged submissions and expires one hour after it is set or refreshed. It is HttpOnly, SameSite=Strict, scoped to this site and Secure in production. Blocking it prevents form submission; you can still email me.

Privacy choice: essential local storage

portfolio-consent-v1 stores a version, saved date and two on/off settings on your device. A saved choice is accepted for 180 days, after which the site asks again with optional features off. Local storage has no automatic expiry; the old entry remains until replaced or cleared. It is not transmitted to an advertising service.

Introduction preference: optional session storage

bidhan-booted remembers that the short introduction has appeared in the current tab. It is written only if you allow preferences, normally lasts for the tab session, and is removed when you turn preferences off. Your browser may restore session storage when restoring a tab.

Credly badge images: optional external media

Seven badge images use images.credly.com and are requested only after you allow external media. The image request shares connection details such as your IP address and browser request headers with the provider; no referring page is sent. The site does not create a tracking cookie for these images. The provider controls its own response handling. Turning external media off removes those image sources and prevents further loading by this page; it cannot retract requests already made. Credential names, issuers, dates and skills stay readable.

The other two badge images, project screenshots, fonts and CV files are hosted locally and do not require external-media permission.

Network security providers

Where Cloudflare proxy or security features are enabled, cookies such as __cf_bm or cf_clearance may be used for bot detection or security challenges. These depend on the live configuration and are separate from this site's optional choices. See Cloudflare's cookie documentation for provider-controlled purposes and lifetimes.

Managing or clearing storage

Use Cookie settings to withdraw optional permissions. Your browser's site-data controls can remove this site's cookies, local storage and session storage, or block them. Clearing site data causes the choice notice to appear again. If storage is blocked, choices apply only to the current page and you may be asked again on navigation. With JavaScript disabled, optional features remain off and the public pages and CV downloads still work.

This policy will be revised before introducing additional storage purposes or optional services. The revision date above identifies this version.
