Information you provide

The contact form asks for your name, email address and message. I use these details to read your enquiry and reply. Please do not send passwords, financial information or other sensitive information through the form.

Submitting the form asks me to use your name, email address and message to handle your enquiry. Messages are transmitted through my configured email provider to my inbox, with your email used as the reply address. The website does not maintain a contact-submission database. Unsent text stays in the current form after a failure; it is not saved to browser storage. Please contact me if you are unsure whether a message arrived.

Technical information

The hosting server may record request details such as your IP address, requested page, time, browser information and errors. These help operate the website, investigate failures and prevent abuse. The contact service keeps temporary IP-based request counters in server memory to limit spam; these are cleared after their rate-limit windows expire and the next cleanup runs. Form message contents are not intentionally written to application logs.

The site does not include advertising pixels or analytics tracking scripts. Fonts, project screenshots, downloadable CV files and the 3D illustration are served by this website. The portfolio terminal navigates this site; it does not execute server commands or send command history to a server.

Cookies and local storage

Cookies and browser storage have different purposes on this site. You can use the footer's Cookie settings button to change optional choices at any time. The cookie policy describes each storage item and how to manage it.

Contact security cookie

__Host-portfolio_csrf in production, or portfolio_csrf during development. Requested when you interact with the contact form. This essential cookie helps prevent forged submissions and expires after one hour. It is not used for advertising.

Your privacy choice

portfolio-consent-v1 in local storage records the choices you make here. A choice is accepted for 180 days; after that you are asked again and optional features remain off. The stored entry remains on your device until replaced or cleared. It contains a version, date and optional-feature settings. It does not identify you to an advertising service.

Introduction preference

If you allow preferences, bidhan-booted in session storage remembers whether the short introduction has appeared in this tab. It ends when the tab's session ends. Turning preferences off removes this value.

External badge images

Seven badge images are hosted by Credly. They are not requested until you allow external media. A request shares technical connection details, including your IP address, with Credly's image host. No referring page is sent. Turning this off stops future image loading; it cannot undo a request already made.

Badge names, issuers and dates remain readable without external images. Local project images and the two locally stored badge images do not need this permission. If browser storage is unavailable, choices apply to the current page and may need to be made again on another visit. Without JavaScript, optional external images and preferences stay off and downloads remain available.

Where Cloudflare proxy or security features are enabled, Cloudflare also processes network traffic and may set security cookies. Which cookies appear depends on the features enabled on the live site. The optional-feature controls here do not disable those network security features. See Cloudflare's cookie information.

Service providers and external links

Hosting and email providers process the technical information needed to deliver the website and your messages. Depending on where those providers operate, data may be processed outside Nepal. Links to GitHub, Credly, social profiles and client websites lead to separate services with their own privacy policies. Opening a link is your choice.

Keeping and protecting information

I keep correspondence for as long as it is needed to handle an enquiry and any related work, subject to applicable obligations. Server log retention depends on the hosting configuration. I do not sell contact details or add people to marketing lists through this form. Information may be disclosed where required by law or needed to address abuse or protect legal rights; this is separate from optional image loading. Access to email and hosting systems is restricted, but no internet service can promise absolute security.

Your choices and requests

You can choose not to send a message, keep optional features off, clear browser storage or ask me about information you have provided. Email bidhang99@gmail.com to request access, correction or deletion, or to withdraw a request to use your enquiry details. Withdrawing a request does not undo processing already completed. I may need to confirm the request relates to you and consider any applicable legal obligations.

Systems and future applications

The Systems page is an under-development placeholder. It currently offers no accounts, app uploads or application services. Any future application that collects information will need its own clear privacy information before you use it.

I will update this page if the website's data handling changes. The date above identifies the latest revision. I will review this policy before adding new uses of personal information.
